During November it is Goose Season! Meaning that Goose is a common food to eat. Sort of like how we eat Turkey at Thanksgiving. Chris' MBA class all went out for goose one night. It was amazing - the waiters kept bringing out big silver dishes filled with goose, cranberries, semmelknoedel (a bread dumpling type thing), and sauerkraut. I am not sure about the sauerkraut yet, but the rest of it was amazing.
For dessert we tried maroni (chestnuts) that are smashed into a paste and then served with whipped cream and a little bit of berries. The chestnut paste looks like it has been pushed through a spaghetti play dough press... very strange, but the more I ate it the more I liked it.
